The Cammeraygal people, of the Eora Nation,
are the traditional owners of the land on which we worship and minister and we pay respect to their elders - past, present and emerging. |
We recognise their continuing connection to the
land and waters of Lane Cove and thank them for protecting this coastline and its ecosystems since time immemorial. We also acknowledge our common human heritage, which has cradled us through our ancient past, which embraces us now and which guides us into the future |
Lane Cove Uniting Church seeks to provide a community, faithfully witnessing to the gospel in this area. Reflecting the strengths of the
Uniting Church we are a congregation accepting diversity, committed to social justice, inclusiveness, financial generosity and reaching out into the community. We come together for weekly worship as a diverse group of all ages, gathering afterwards for morning tea. Our church and hospitality space is used throughout the week for church and other community activities.
In 2013 the congregation was given the opportunity, through sale of properties (including a Church), to extended its mission focus. Using the sale proceeds, we finance and support a number of new and innovative community oriented ministries both locally and across the wider church. The Lane Cove Community Chaplaincy, is our own mission that reaches out to the Lane Cove community. Liam, the Chaplain, is a Uniting Church Pastor who leads the team, making connections through groups, events, courses and personal conversations.
